Hot Lap on Cathedral Peak

The mighty Cathedral peak in Tuolumne Meadows

On our way from Yosemite to Bishop we spontaneously decided to climb Cathedral Peak in Tuolumne Meadows. The perfect day… not too hot, yet clear and sunny in late October.

We only met one other team on this day. What a treat in SoCal!  This day was a great change from the burl of Yosmite and the darkness of Camp 4.

I highly recommend this side trip.

Sadly, we went to the Mobile for fish tacos and it is closed. Bummer.

Now we are in the Bishop area for a bit soaking in hot tubs and clipping bolts. Finally, this trip is starting to feel like a holiday.

    Cool-

Adam I were just there in late September and had a similarly splendid day (though the mobil station was still open when we arrived).

We went with an afternoon start to manage the crowds and it worked out well.

I’m very proud of your accomplishments, Jen. Drop me a note and lets plan to catch up when you’re next around the Bow Valley.
