Mission Accomplished

Bugaboos to Roger’s Pass 2009 was not given away easily this year. Thanks to the support of CMH Bugaboos, Bobby Burns, Dirk at Canadian Heli, Jeff, Jeff and Steve the snowmobilers and the determination and perseverance of Bill, Marg, Diana, Ron and Arno… WE completed the traverse…

Felix Camire and I were the guides, we had many decisions to make along the way. We were never sure the traverse was going to be successful until about an hour before we completed it! This is what makes it so rewarding. We had many challenges including… white out navigation, 3000m freezing levels to bullet proof snow. We saw grizzly tracks and did some rappels late in the day in a mini-blizzard. We did have a couple nice days and we were especially blessed by the folks who helped us out when needed.

Hey Jen, just saw Felix’ photos and checked out your website. From the reports I heard of conditions I thought you guys were going to get hosed but looks like you persevered and made it through, good job!
